Retail/Business Banking Officer at Regent Microfinance Bank Limited

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our banking team. In this role, you will drive business growth by identifying, acquiring, and managing retail and business banking customers while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, acquire, and manage new and existing retail and business banking customers
• Develop and execute strategies to grow deposits, loans, and overall customer portfolio
• Conduct credit assessments, prepare loan proposals, and ensure proper loan documentation
• Monitor loan repayments and maintain portfolio quality to minimize credit risk
• Cross-sell banking products and services to maximize customer value and engagement
• Maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery and after-sales support
• Prepare periodic reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market trends
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth account opening, loan processing, and service delivery

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, or any related field
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in retail or SME banking (preferably within a Microfinance or Commercial Bank)
• Proven track record in deposit mobilization, loan sales, and portfolio management
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, and risk management
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital banking tools
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team
• High ethical standards, integrity, and attention to detail
