About This Position

Federal University Oye-Ekiti seeks a Reader in Religious Studies to join a dynamic and expanding team within the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Agriculture.

Salary Grade

CONUASS 6

Key Requirements

• PhD or equivalent qualification in Religious Studies or related area of specialization
• Minimum of six (6) years of teaching experience at the university level
• Minimum of two (2) postgraduate students supervised
• Considerable research background with a minimum of sixty (60) publication points
• Minimum of twelve (12) publications
• At least four (4) papers indexed in Scopus journals
• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Two (2) favourable external assessments

Performance Criteria

• Minimum four (4) points in Academic Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities
• Minimum three (3) points in Community Service
• Minimum forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal
• Google Scholar profile or equivalent with a minimum of twenty (20) citations

Additional Responsibilities

Candidates may be required to participate in postgraduate teaching and supervision activities as needed by the department.
