Key Requirements

• PhD or equivalent qualification in Medical Biochemistry or related area of specialization
• Minimum of six (6) years of teaching/library experience at the university level
• Minimum of two (2) points from postgraduate students supervised
• Minimum of sixty (60) points from research publications
• Four (4) points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibilities
• Three (3) points in Community Service
• Forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal
• Two (2) favorable external assessments

Academic and Research Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve (12) publications
• Four (4) papers indexed in Scopus journals
• Visible profile on Google Scholar or equivalent with minimum of twenty (20) citations
• Considerable background in research with admissible publications meeting minimum threshold

Professional Requirements

• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• For Academic Librarians: Ability to participate in postgraduate teaching and supervision in the Department of Library Science
