Position Overview

Federal University Oye-Ekiti invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Reader in the Department of Linguistics and Languages, Faculty of Agriculture.

Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti, Nigeria

Required Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent qualification in the area of specialization
• Minimum of six (6) years of teaching or library experience at the university level
• Current membership of relevant professional body/bodies

Academic Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) points from postgraduate student supervision
• Minimum of sixty (60) points from research publications
• Minimum of twelve (12) publications
• Minimum of four (4) papers indexed in Scopus journals
• Two (2) favourable external assessments

Additional Criteria

• Minimum of four (4) points in academic leadership and administrative responsibilities
• Minimum of three (3) points in community service
• Minimum of forty-five (45) points in job appraisal
• Visible profile on Google Scholar or equivalent with minimum citation count of twenty (20)

Note for Academic Librarians

Academic Librarians appointed to this position shall participate in postgraduate teaching and supervision within the Department of Library Science.
