• In all cases, the staff being recommended to the rank of Reader should have his/her area of specialization properly stated.

• A PhD holder or its equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years in Teaching experience at the University level

• The candidate must have a minimum of two (2) points of PG students supervised

• Considerable background of research with a minimum of admissible publications totaling not less than sixty (60) points.

• Must score four (4) points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibilities.

• Must score three (3) points in Community Service.

• Must have a PhD or its equivalent.

• Must be an up-to-date member of professional body/bodies

• Must score forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal.

Must be visible on Google scholar or its equivalent with citation not less than twenty (20).

• Minimum number of publications not less than twelve (12).

• Must have 4 Papers index in Scopus Journal

• Two (2) Favourable External Assessments.
