Quantity Surveyor - Rovedana, Lagos

Sector: Construction (Mechanical/Civil Engineering) Salary Budget: 300,000 - 350,000 Naira Net Monthly Other Benefits: Very Competitive Position Overview: The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs related to mechanical engineering construction projects. This includes cost planning, budgeting, procurement support, contract administration, valuation of works, cost control, and final account settlement. The role ensures that projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for mechanical works (HVAC, piping, fire protection, plumbing, equipment installation, etc.).

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope of works to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.

• Prepare tender evaluations and support subcontractor and supplier selection.

• Negotiate rates, variations, and contract terms with vendors and subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and company policies.

• Track material usage, wastage, and productivity against budget.

• Prepare final accounts and close-out documentation

• Liaise with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, consultants, and clients.

Required Qualifications: & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.

• 2–3 years’ experience in mechanical construction or MEP projects.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, measurement software, and estimating tools.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
