About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Psychologist to join our team at Synapse Resource Center in Lagos, Nigeria. You will provide comprehensive psychological services including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse client populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment and consultation services to clients
• Diagnose psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapy to both groups and individuals across different age groups, including children
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to clients' needs and progress
• Facilitate diverse group therapeutic sessions
• Counsel individuals and groups regarding stress, substance abuse, family situations, and related issues
• Select, administer, score, and interpret psychological tests to assess intelligence, achievements, interests, and personalities
• Evaluate clients' physical and mental conditions through review of client information
• Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed based on changes in clients' status
• Guide clients in developing skills and strategies for managing their problems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, and occupational therapists
• Collaborate with staff members to conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans
• Refer patients and clients to appropriate services as needed
• Generate new client prospects through networking and other acceptable business development methods
• Identify innovative tactics and sustainable operational strategies to drive revenue and business growth

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Understanding and application of the Biopsychosocial Approach for assessment and treatment planning
• Proficiency in various treatment methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), talk therapy, and person-centered therapy
• Competency with electronic medical record systems for documentation of progress notes and treatment plans
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience providing therapy across different age groups
