Protection of Family Links (PFL) Field Officer 2

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Protection of Family Links Team Leader, the Protection of Family Links (PFL) Field Officer 2 supports the implementation and monitoring of ICRC PFL activities in Yobe State. You will assist with data input and analysis in Prot6, while managing individual cases and vulnerable populations in your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external follow-up of individual cases autonomously in your area of responsibility
• Register unaccompanied children and vulnerable persons, ensure they are regularly visited, and trace their families
• Receive visitors and ensure visits are appropriately followed up
• Translate and interpret from and to Hausa upon request
• Plan, carry out, and report autonomously on PFL activities and collection of statistical data in your area of responsibility
• Contribute to analyses of the security, socio-economic, cultural, and political environment in which the ICRC operates, share relevant information with team members, and report any changes in the situation
• Assist in institutional exercises relating to planning, budgeting, and monitoring programmes
• Develop and maintain contact with municipal and regional stakeholders, local and regional NRCS branches, the local population, and suppliers
• Provide technical support and supervise volunteers in the implementation and monitoring of PFL activities
• Foster a constructive working environment with a multidisciplinary approach and good team dynamics
• Ensure sustainability of work and establish systems for archiving work to support institutional memory
• Organize periodic meetings and supervise NRCS PFL volunteers in your area of responsibility in Yobe State through the PFL focal point and team leaders
• Contribute to the identification of needs, design, and implementation of projects
• Collect, compile, and translate PFL-related information and prepare written reports
