About the Role
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Project Worker. In this role, you will collaborate with our team to develop and write training materials for our online training project focused on mental health education in Nigerian schools.
Project Overview
The project aims to equip educators in Nigeria with the right set of skills to identify and prevent mental health challenges in schools, as well as deliver appropriate interventions. This will improve the quality of service educators provide and enhance life outcomes for young Nigerian students.
The project comprises 36 topics to be shared among three project workers and delivered incrementally over three months. Topics broadly encompass:
- Mental health
- Safeguarding
- Violence prevention
- Health and safety
- Gender and equality
- Basic interventions
You will be allowed to choose topics based on your interests and capacity. All materials must be research-informed and evidence-based. AI writing will not be accepted.
Reporting Structure
You will report directly to the team leader, who will serve as your line manager.
Key Requirements
- Background in child and adolescent mental health, public health (especially health promotion), or education (preferred)
- Knowledge of issues affecting young Nigerians
- Excellent research and creative writing skills
- Access to a computer and ability to work remotely
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Strong communication and responsiveness skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions and project plans
- Capability to deliver high-quality work while meeting agreed deadlines
- Report writing and presentation skills
- High motivation, reliability, and strong remote work ethic
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Compensation
N100,000 monthly
