Project Manager at West African Ceramics Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to lead and oversee EPC projects involving structural fabrication, erection, and machinery installation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex industrial projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of EPC projects from concept to commissioning
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Oversee structural fabrication, erection, and installation of mechanical systems and heavy machinery
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and satisfaction
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project execution methodologies

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree is a plus)
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in project management within EPC environments
• Proven expertise in structural fabrication, steel erection, and mechanical equipment installation
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, P&IDs, and construction documentation
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
• PMP or equivalent certification is preferred
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.)
