About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project activities, liaising with national partners, overseeing project implementation, ensuring that project objectives are met, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in promoting the adoption of improved agricultural technologies among smallholder farmers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate farmer mobilization, community sensitization, field days, and beneficiary profiling
- Conduct Training of Trainers (TOTs) for Extension Agents and Selected Community-Based Agents on sustainable climate-smart agricultural practices
- Facilitate the establishment of demonstration plots with climate-smart technologies and coordinate step-down trainings
- Organize training on appropriate technologies, markets, enterprise development, and climate-smart agriculture for youth, women, and persons with disabilities
- Organize trainings for agrodealers on safe handling and sale of agrochemicals, fertilizers, improved maize and soybean seed varieties, business skills, and record keeping
- Organize meetings of farmers, farmer groups, agrodealers, aggregators, and financial institutions to facilitate strategic partnerships, access to quality inputs, and market linkage
- Monitor project progress and prepare reports
- Assist with budget management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Project Management, or related field
- Project coordination and management skills
- Experience liaising with national partners and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to monitor projects, prepare reports, and assist with budget management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of agricultural development and value-chain integration
- Ability to work on-site in Abuja full-time
- Experience in the agriculture NGO sector is a plus
