Project Construction Manager Special Development Project (SPD) at Amaiden Energy Nigeria

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Construction Manager to oversee all Special Development Projects (SPD) in Nigeria, with specific focus on Lagos and Abuja (Jigna). This role involves managing, monitoring, and delivering projects from inception to practical completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to world-class quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, audit, and guide the construction and delivery team for all projects, including self-perform projects and/or EPC contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safe delivery, on-time completion, and adherence to specifications and quality standards
• Plan, schedule, and oversee construction projects from start to finish
• Manage and lead construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ensure construction staff competence and required abilities to fulfill their roles
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources, labor, and materials, and oversee their procurement
• Develop project objectives and goals, and assign team member responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise
• Prepare status reports, including updated cost and planning forecasts
• Review and approve project budgets, expenditures, and timelines
• Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely delivery of equipment and goods to site
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Coordinate efforts of all parties involved in the project
• Review and evaluate plans, and set performance requirements
• Play a key role in project planning, budgeting, and resource identification
