About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as a Project Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and expenditure
• Track, analyze, and report on project financial performance, including cost variances, commitments, and projections
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of project-related transactions in the accounting system
• Review and validate project invoices, contracts, and purchase orders for compliance
• Prepare financial reports for management, project stakeholders, and auditors
• Monitor cash flow requirements for ongoing projects
• Assist project managers in understanding financial data and implications of decisions
• Support the preparation of project audits and compliance reviews
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory standards
• Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in project accounting, management accounting, or financial control
• Strong knowledge of project costing, financial reporting, and budgeting processes
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
• High level of integrity and professional ethics

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent
• Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing projects
