Program Associate (Consultancy)

About the Position

The Programs Associate will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of organizational programs and projects. The role ensures that programs are effectively delivered, results are tracked, and learning is used to improve impact and accountability to intersex communities, donors, and partners. The Program Associate will contribute to project design and implementation, community engagement, documentation, and reporting.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about promoting social justice, equality, and advancing intersex human rights in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation Support

• Assist in the coordination and implementation of project and program activities according to approved work plans
• Support the development of proposals and preparation of activities
• Provide on-site support during trainings, workshops, advocacy meetings, and outreach activities
• Ensure proper documentation (attendance sheets, minutes, photos) of project activities

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

• Support data collection and entry for project indicators using agreed MEL tools
• Contribute to the development of success stories, case studies, and field reports
• Maintain organized digital and physical records of project data and reports
• Assist in tracking project milestones and progress against work plans

Reporting and Documentation

• Assist in drafting activity and progress reports for internal and donor use
• Contribute to the development of quarterly and annual narrative reports
• Maintain a filing system for program documentation and correspondence

Partnership and Communication

• Liaise with community partners, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders under the direction of the Program Manager
• Support the coordination of meetings, trainings, and field visits for program partners
