Production Pharmacist at Vixa Pharmacy

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Production Pharmacist to oversee all pharmaceutical production activities at our facility in Lagos. You will be responsible for managing operations from incoming materials through to outgoing finished goods, ensuring strict compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all production activities from incoming materials to finished goods delivery
• Conduct pilot scale trials for products under development
• Ensure proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of production equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate department
• Monitor strict compliance with production plans and generate daily production reports including variance analysis
• Monitor production operations and records in accordance with Master formulas from production start to completion
• Ensure all processes comply strictly with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Validate production processes and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure manufacturing and packaging operations are executed in accordance with established SOPs
• Oversee equipment qualifications and calibrations as per SOP, ensuring proper documentation and reporting
• Coordinate with the store officer to maintain appropriate inventory and ensure timely supply of production materials
• Share responsibility with the maintenance team to ensure all production equipment is standardized and certified
• Liaise with maintenance, engineering, and quality departments to ensure smooth production operations
• Conduct deviation investigations in conjunction with QC/QA, Engineering, and other relevant departments
• Oversee production operations alongside other Sectional heads and Supervisors to maintain cGMP compliance
• Participate in new product development and reformulation projects to meet local market requirements in line with cGMP guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pharmacist
• Thorough understanding of dosage administration
