Procurement Officer at Sales Force Consulting

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer supports the Procurement Manager in executing the company's purchasing activities, from sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations to processing purchase orders and tracking deliveries. The role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other operational items, while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company procedures
• Support in negotiating terms and conditions with vendors under the guidance of the Procurement Manager
• Track and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Verify received items for quality and quantity before documentation and handover to requesting departments
• Maintain a database of approved vendors and update records regularly
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics
• Ensure all procurement documentation (quotations, LPOs, invoices, receipts) are properly filed and recorded
• Support in resolving supplier issues, delivery delays, or payment discrepancies
• Assist in analyzing procurement data, preparing periodic reports, and highlighting key variances or opportunities
• Liaise with Finance for invoice verification and payment processing
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Production, and other departments to align procurement with operational needs
• Support in forecasting material needs based on production schedules and stock levels
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Procurement Manager or management

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
