Position Overview
- As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in our operations by sourcing vendors who can provide the items requested by our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and source vendors who can supply the required items in accordance with client specifications and project requirements.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions for Us.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and priorities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain relationships to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including vendor contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics to inform procurement decisions and optimize sourcing strategies.
- Minimum of OND or HND degree in a relevant technical field.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG, Oil & Gas, or Power sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement software applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
