Procurement Manager - IT / Digital & Sports Equipment at The Confederation of African Football (CAF)

About the Role

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is expanding its team and seeking a Procurement Manager to lead and manage procurement activities related to IT systems, software, licenses, digital platforms, technology infrastructure, and referee and technical football development solutions. This role will ensure strategic sourcing, cost-effective purchasing, quality assurance, and compliance with CAF policies and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement processes for IT systems, software solutions, licenses, and digital platforms
• Coordinate procurement for Referee and technical football development departments, including officiating tools and all match and referee equipment requirements
• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with CAF's digital transformation and technical football purchases
• Conduct market research and vendor evaluations to identify reliable and innovative suppliers
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements to ensure value for money
• Establish supplier performance metrics and manage vendor relationships for continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with CAF procurement procedures, financial guidelines, and audit standards
• Collaborate with IT, Digital, Referee, Technology, Competitions, and Refereeing departments to forecast needs and deliver timely solutions
• Support inventory planning, asset management, and lifecycle oversight for technology and equipment
• Prepare reports, procurement plans, and budget analyses for senior management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related field
• 5–7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in technology or sports-related procurement
• Strong vendor-management skills and deep understanding of digital and sports equipment procurement

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM, PMP)
