About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Early Years Educator to join our team, working with toddlers aged 15 months and above. This is a rewarding opportunity to nurture children at a crucial stage of their development—helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities across the EYFS curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
- Support toddlers with feeding, hygiene and toileting routines, encouraging independence
- Observe, record and assess children's progress and development to contribute to individual learning journeys
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to ensure consistent care and learning
- Foster independence, self-help skills and a love of learning through play and exploration
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: B.Ed, B.A, B.Sc, HND, or PGDE in English, Early Childhood Education, or a related field, obtained from a reputable university
- Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC nursery teaching experience
- Must be resident in Ibadan, with the ability to easily commute to Jericho
- Strong understanding of child development within the 15 months+ age range
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- A professional, caring and safety-conscious approach to childcare
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual children
- Confidence in engaging children through play-based learning, supporting their social, emotional and educational development
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of the British Curriculum and EYFS framework
- Proven experience in childcare with willingness to apply EYFS principles
