This vacancy presents a chance to join a leading organization. Position Overview:
  • The Entry-Level PR Officer will support the company’s public relations efforts by facilitating communication and coordination between the mining company and government agencies.
  • This role involves organizing official visits, handling government relations, and assisting in managing the company’s public image within the regulatory and local government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate visits between company officials and government representatives
  • Act as a liaison between the company and government bodies at local and state levels
  • Assist in preparing briefing materials, reports, and official communication for government interactions
  • Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings, community outreach, and official events
  • Monitor and report on relevant government policies and regulations affecting the mining sector
  • Draft press releases, statements, and communications related to government affairs
  • Assist in managing the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in collaboration with government agencies
  • Maintain accurate records of government correspondence and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the PR Manager
Requirements: & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Political Science, or related field
  • 1–2 year of experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of government structures and regulatory environment in Nigeria.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel locally as required.
