Role Overview
Lytup Power Systems Inc. is scaling rapidly, moving beyond standalone energy storage products toward fully integrated energy and power electronics platforms. We are seeking a highly capable Electrical Engineer with strong experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), inverter systems, power electronics, monitoring solutions, and embedded control systems.
You will work closely with Lytup's engineering team to architect, build, validate, and certify the next generation of Lytup battery and inverter solutions, supporting both product development and field deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Architecture & Product Development: Define and own the electrical architecture for new Lytup products, from early concept and prototyping through pilot builds and mass production
- Inverter & BESS Integration: Assess, select, and optimize inverter technologies (hybrid, off-grid, and string) to ensure robust integration with Lytvolt battery platforms
- Schematic & System Design: Design, review, and validate complex electrical schematics, with particular focus on parallel BESS systems and high-voltage DC bus configurations
- Field Deployment & Commissioning: Support and oversee installation and commissioning activities for Lytup systems on residential, commercial, and industrial projects across West Africa when required
- System & Communication Integration: Collaborate with IoT and electrical teams to define and implement communication logic between BMS units, inverters, and the Lytup cloud infrastructure
- Component & Supplier Qualification: Identify, evaluate, and qualify Tier-1 suppliers for critical components such as MOSFETs, capacitors, protection devices, and battery cells to ensure reliability and long-term performance
- Testing, Validation & Reliability: Lead structured prototype testing, pilot deployments, and failure analysis to identify and resolve potential issues
