Job Summary
The Portfolio Growth Manager plays a lead role in achieving the organization's portfolio diversification agenda. The incumbent will be responsible for driving value through profitable management of the Enterprise Portfolio, which comprises Retail, Sales, Business Development, and Logistics functions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Define annual, short-term, and mid-term growth plans that provide clarity on the portfolio's current position and future direction
- Work proactively and collaboratively across functions to determine growth strategies that increase revenue and improve profitability, with full accountability for development and implementation
- Manage a portfolio of products, projects, or initiatives, overseeing initiation through completion of multiple projects within the Enterprise unit by supervising all process owners effectively
- Drive portfolio growth and business development through innovation, delivering agreed targets
- Establish new businesses and drive growth by innovating and initiating new products and services
- Prepare concise business plans and justification proposals for new initiatives, including feasible revenue and cost projections to support investment decisions and approvals
People Management and Development
- Manage the activities of the Tech function, which oversees retail software management, inventory control, sales reporting, and conducting required audits
- Manage the Business Officer's activities, ensuring accountability for accounting functions including inventory inflow and outflow management, bank reconciliations, preparation of periodic financial statements, and financial advisory services for the department
