Responsibilties
Inspection and supervision:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of piping, fittings, valves, and supports.
- Verify that correct materials, sizes, and wall thicknesses are used, and check material certifications.
- Supervise and witness welding activities, verify welder qualifications, and review welding procedures (WPS).
- Oversee non-destructive testing (NDT), such as radiography and ultrasonic testing.
- Ensure proper surface preparation and coating thickness checks are performed.
- Conduct, witness, and review various tests, including hydrostatic, pneumatic, and hardness tests.
- Witness and approve mechanical tests, such as pressure relief device settings.
- Prepare and maintain quality-related documents, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and test packs.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Compile and review all project-related quality documentation, including inspection and test reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and final quality reports.
- Manage material and welder traceability records.
- Ensure the project adheres to the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site personnel to ensure quality work is performed.
- Identify and manage non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate with clients, classification societies, and project management regarding quality matters.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant project specifications, codes and standards.
- Conduct audits and reviews of internal and contractor quality systems.
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Eng Degree with 5 years experience.
