About the Role

The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient dispensing of medications while providing professional guidance to patients and staff. The role includes maintaining accurate pharmaceutical records, managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting high standards of patient care. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality service and uphold the company's operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Dispensing & Patient Care

• Accurately dispense prescription and OTC medications in line with legal and professional standards
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, interactions, and contraindications
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and storage
• Promote rational drug use and ensure patient safety is prioritized

Inventory & Stock Management

• Ensure adequate stock levels of medications and supplies
• Monitor stock expiry, shortages, and discrepancies
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile variances
• Liaise with procurement team for timely replenishment of goods

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all operations comply with PCN, NAFDAC, and relevant regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation including prescription records, controlled drug registers, and inventory logs
• Ensure proper storage of drugs according to temperature and safety requirements

Customer Service & Professional Conduct

• Attend to customers politely and professionally
• Resolve customer complaints with empathy and professionalism
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times

Operational & Administrative Duties

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and staff where necessary
• Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of shelves
• Participate in internal audits and quality improvement activities
• Prepare periodic reports as required by management

Requirements

• Must reside within Akwa Ibom and Cross River
