Job Purpose

A passionate field-based Paravet responsible for supporting veterinary and extension activities across assigned communities. The Paravet serves as the first contact for farmers on animal health and husbandry issues, ensuring timely treatment, vaccination, and data collection under the supervision of a Veterinary Doctor.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level animal health services such as vaccination, deworming, and basic treatments
• Assist Veterinary Doctors in disease surveillance, diagnosis, and sample collection
• Train and sensitize farmers on animal health, hygiene, and good husbandry practices
• Monitor flock/herd health and promptly report any unusual signs or mortality
• Record all field activities, treatments, and farmer interactions
• Promote the use of AMO Farm's veterinary products and services among farmers
• Support the implementation of biosecurity and feeding programs

Qualifications & Experience

• OND / HND / B.Sc. in Animal Health, Animal Science, or related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in livestock or poultry field operations
• Certification as a Paravet or Animal Health Technician (where applicable)
• Basic understanding of disease symptoms and control methods
• Ability to communicate effectively with rural farmers
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural areas
