Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses provided by optometrists or ophthalmologists
• Assist patients in selecting appropriate frames and lenses based on their prescriptions, facial features, and lifestyle
• Take accurate measurements for proper lens fitting
• Adjust, repair, and maintain eyeglass frames and lenses as needed
• Educate patients on eyewear care and maintenance
• Maintain inventory and ensure all optical products meet quality standards
• Collaborate with optometrists and administrative staff to ensure excellent patient experience

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Opticianry or related field
• Valid license from the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN)
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an optical or clinical setting
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
