Operations Manager (ICT and Capacity Building  Environment)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide strategic leadership, management oversight, and technical direction for the organization's information and communication technology operations. The successful candidate will function effectively as a team leader, ensure reliable ICT service delivery, oversee systems and infrastructure, and build the technical capacity of staff across the organization.

This role requires a professional who combines hands-on ICT expertise with strong managerial, coordination, and training skills.

Key Responsibilities

ICT Leadership & Management

• Provide leadership and oversight for all ICT functions, systems, and infrastructure
• Manage ICT operations and supervise the ICT team
• Develop and implement ICT strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the ICT team and external service providers
• Assign tasks, set performance targets, and monitor team output and service quality
• Facilitate the implementation of strategic ICT initiatives
• Drive governance implementation across ICT functions
• Prepare ICT work plans, budgets, and progress reports

Systems & Infrastructure Oversight

• Oversee the management of networks, servers, databases, hardware, and software systems
• Ensure availability, security, and optimal performance of ICT systems and digital platforms
• Coordinate system upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities
• Ensure data protection, backups, cybersecurity controls, and business continuity plans are in place
• Manage ICT assets, licenses, and inventory
• Act as an interface between the organization and IT developers
• Design, update, and manage organizational websites
• Provide IT support, especially for web-based systems
• Install new enabled IT processes and systems across organizational functions
• Identify and drive market needs for IT solutions
