Operations - Maintenance Planner / Scheduler I

Main Functions

You will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities while demonstrating a strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements, work selection criteria, work planning, estimating practices, procurement processes, business controls, and contractor interface management.

You will utilize advanced scheduling skills to ensure efficient resource utilization and excellent coordination across operations (equipment readiness and permitting), material availability, construction equipment support, and labor crew composition and assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Make safety the top priority in all planning and scheduling activities
• Participate in planning sessions with Core and Work Teams
• Plan and schedule routine maintenance work requirements
• Develop schedules, cost estimates, and equipment planning for routine work during turnaround windows
• Plan complex jobs and develop comprehensive resource plans in collaboration with Scheduler, Execution Lead, and Operations teams across all disciplines
• Identify and monitor critical and sub-critical paths for major events
• Apply advanced functions of Planning and Estimating Tools as applicable to the position
• Educate field execution personnel on look-ahead schedules and ensure timely work progression
• Provide input to maintenance work contracting and procurement strategy
• Resolve scheduling issues including negative float, out-of-sequence updates, resource overloads, scope changes, and progress validation
• Develop complete job plans with materials, resources, and timelines
• Provide input into materials of construction selection and management
• Plan, estimate, track, and schedule field work execution
