About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. You will be responsible for managing broadcast schedules, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting strategic objectives for the channel.

Key Responsibilities

• Compare and assess channel schedules, identifying potential issues such as programme clashes at the earliest stage
• Evaluate the impact of last-minute schedule changes and complete schedules to meet press deadlines
• Ensure effective communication with programme makers, Channel Controllers, and Genre Controllers regarding current schedules and programming decisions
• Communicate schedule changes and their implications to relevant teams and partners promptly
• Monitor schedule performance by discussing and reviewing audience figures with the Audience Research team
• Stay informed of current affairs to implement unscheduled changes when necessary
• Support the Head of Planning and Scheduling in preparing contingency plans for live events that may run over or under time
• Work with the Planning Manager to ensure the financial viability of schedules and keep them fully informed of changes
• Identify and support recommendations regarding the financial consequences of major schedule changes
• Contribute to producing competitive and imaginative schedules that meet strategic channel objectives
• Manage short and medium-term schedule operations on a day-to-day basis with direction from the producer
• Serve as a key authority for detailed information exchange with programme suppliers and TV business support teams
