Role Summary
The Finance Intern will support the Finance Department in day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This role provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, expense tracking, and data management while ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulatory standards.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about financial management processes within the pension industry and to gain practical experience in a dynamic, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports and statements
- Support the Finance Team in daily bank and account reconciliations
- Update financial databases, ledgers, and spreadsheets with accurate data
- Monitor and track departmental budgets and expenditures
- Assist in verifying vendor invoices and processing payments in line with company policy
- Participate in the preparation of management and regulatory reports
- Support internal and external audit processes by organizing financial documentation
- Maintain orderly filing systems for all financial records and ensure confidentiality
- Perform other administrative and finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Good analytical and numerical ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and ability to work collaboratively within a team
