Job Summary
The NOC Support Engineer will provide first-line monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support for Vitel Wireless' network infrastructure. The role ensures continuous network availability, quick incident resolution, and proactive problem management to guarantee optimal service performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems, alarms, and events through NOC tools in real time
- Detect and escalate faults, outages, and performance issues to senior engineers or vendors
- Perform initial troubleshooting and resolution for common network issues
- Log incidents and maintain accurate records in the ticketing system
- Support field teams during maintenance, configuration, and change management activities
- Assist in generating daily network health and incident reports
- Ensure network performance and uptime meet SLA and KPI targets
- Participate in 24/7 shift operations to maintain continuous NOC coverage
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in a telecommunications NOC or technical support environment
- Basic understanding of mobile network technologies (2G/3G/4G/LTE) and IP networking concepts
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, Netcool)
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
