About the Role
Due to rapid expansion, we are seeking a qualified candidate for this technical position. As a leading broadband connectivity services provider in Nigeria, we are committed to maintaining our market position through skilled technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance locally and over the air interface
- Perform 24/7 network surveillance and respond to network-reported and customer-reported problems
- Provide specialist technical support to all departments regarding network and radio-related issues
- Coordinate and perform maintenance of cell sites managed by the company, and liaise with vendors on maintenance of other cell sites
- Configure and perform bench testing of new products, and provide Authority To Proceed (ATP) approval for those products
- Act as technical point of contact with vendors regarding radio and microwave equipment RMA issues
- Assist junior engineers and support staff with network-related training
- Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, incidents, and resolutions
- Create and maintain network diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Provide regular reports on network performance, uptime, and capacity to management
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure continuous network monitoring and early detection of issues
- Work closely with customer service teams to resolve customer-related network issues
- Provide technical support to other departments while deploying new services or systems
Research and Development
- Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and best practices
- Evaluate new networking solutions and tools
Reporting
This position reports to the Customer Support Manager.
