Job Brief
We are seeking an EV Technician (Electrical) to support the installation, inspection, diagnostics, and maintenance of electric vehicles and EV charging systems. This role is designed for ND or technical school graduates with foundational electrical knowledge who are eager to build hands-on experience in electric vehicle technology and sustainable mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of EV electrical systems and components
- Support diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical faults in electric vehicles and EV charging equipment
- Carry out basic testing of batteries, wiring, connectors, inverters, and control systems under supervision
- Assist with routine servicing, repairs, and component replacement
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed, test results, and service reports
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, HSE, and quality standards
- Support senior technicians during complex repairs and system upgrades
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and well-organized
Education & Qualifications
- ND or Technical School Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Mechatronics, Automotive Electrical Technology, or related discipline
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical safety practices
Skills & Competencies
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and testing skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and manuals
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment
- Willingness to learn EV systems, battery technology, and charging infrastructure
- Good attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently under supervision
