Job Summary

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the company's sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share objectives across Nigeria. This role involves overseeing regional sales managers, managing distributors and key accounts, leading a national sales team, and driving business growth for all hygiene product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement national sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify growth opportunities
• Establish sales targets by region, product line, and distribution channel
• Identify and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and institutional clients
• Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and sales terms with major clients and partners
• Work closely with marketing to design promotional campaigns that increase brand visibility and market penetration
• Manage relationships with distributors, ensuring optimal stock levels and sales performance
• Monitor distributor activities, performance, and compliance with company policies
• Conduct periodic business reviews with distributors and regional sales representatives
• Support distributors with sales training, marketing materials, and trade incentives
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of regional sales managers and field sales executives
• Define clear KPIs, track performance, and ensure consistent achievement of sales targets
• Conduct regular field visits and performance evaluations
• Facilitate training and capacity building for the sales team on product knowledge, negotiation, and customer relationship management
• Provide management with periodic reports on sales performance, market trends, and forecast updates
• Offer actionable insights to guide production planning and marketing strategies
• Coordinate with marketing for brand building initiatives
