About the Role
A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to develop and implement the project's monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems. The M&E Officer will ensure accountability, track progress, and support evidence-based decision-making. This role will oversee accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting, while building capacity among staff and partners to strengthen M&E practices.
Key Responsibilities
Framework & Tool Development
- Develop and implement M&E frameworks, plans, and indicators aligned with project requirements and donor expectations
- Design appropriate data collection tools, methodologies, and guidelines
Data Management
- Oversee data collection, entry, cleaning, and management
- Ensure accuracy and consistency through data quality audits and database maintenance
Data Analysis
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis to measure progress against project targets
- Identify trends, challenges, and lessons learned, providing evidence-based recommendations
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders and partners
- Ensure timely submission of donor reports in line with accountability frameworks
Field Support & Verification
- Conduct monitoring visits to verify data accuracy and implementation progress
- Ensure compliance with M&E standards and donor guidelines
Capacity Building
- Provide technical support and training to staff, partners, and field officers on data collection, reporting, and M&E methodologies
Evaluation Support
- Support baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations, as well as special assessments
- Contribute to measuring project outcomes and long-term impact
Learning & Knowledge Management
- Capture, document, and disseminate lessons learned, success stories, and best practices
- Promote adaptive learning within the project and across the organization
