We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview:
  • Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Modern Trade Manager.
  • The role is responsible for driving sales growth and brand visibility across key modern retail channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and e-commerce platforms, while managing major accounts and executing effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the modern trade channel to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts while negotiating annual business plans, contracts, and promotional terms.
  • Lead and coach the sales and merchandising team to ensure excellent in-store execution and achievement of performance targets.
  • Ensure flawless in-store execution, including proper product placement (planogram compliance), effective use of point-of-sale materials, and execution of promotions.
  • Conduct regular store visits and team performance reviews to provide coaching and maintain execution discipline. Collaboration and coordination
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as marketing, supply chain, and finance, to align on strategy and ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaise with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory levels, ensure timely replenishment, and maintain product availability.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in FMCG sales (preferably dairy), with at least 3 years in modern trade or key account management.
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Solid business and financial awareness, with the ability to analyze sales data and manage a profit and loss (P&L) statement.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret market trends, competitor insights, and sales performance.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach and manage a sales team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
