Mid- Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

Amy Consulting is seeking qualified Full Stack Software Engineers to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. You will design, develop, and maintain both backend and frontend systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React
• Design and optimize databases using PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Develop and maintain APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Containerize applications using Docker and support deployment workflows
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain services on AWS and/or DigitalOcean
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Debug production issues and improve system performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers where needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features

Must-Have Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
• Solid backend development experience with Node.js
• Frontend experience using React
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MongoDB (schema design, indexing, performance tuning)
• Experience with Redis
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Deployment and infrastructure experience on AWS and/or DigitalOcean
• Experience setting up or working with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working with WordPress
• Experience with Drupal
• Knowledge of PHP
• Experience with MySQL
• Familiarity with legacy system integration
• Basic DevOps or infrastructure-as-code experience
