Mid level Accountant at Pajuno Development Company Limited

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Mid-level Accountant located in Lekki. You will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including recording transactions, preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, and strengthening the receivables process. You will also assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

• Manage and record day-to-day financial transactions
• Support preparation of monthly management reports and cash flow tracking
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and support reconciliations
• Assist in budget preparation and variance reporting

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare VAT and WHT schedules and ensure timely submissions
• Support tax planning and maintain accurate tax records
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations

Documentation & Controls

• Maintain proper financial documentation and records
• Support internal controls implementation and process improvement
• Prepare financial data for internal and external audits

Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams (finance, operations, admin) to ensure seamless accounting support
• Report to the Senior Accountant and Head of Finance

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in a structured organization)
• Strong understanding of receivables management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Odoo ERP
• High sense of integrity, discretion, and accountability
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• ACA or relevant certification (a plus)
