Position Overview

We are seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our diagnostics team at our Abule Egba facility in Lagos. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about quality laboratory practice, precision in testing, and contributing to excellent healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, serology, parasitology, and urinalysis
• Collect, receive, process, and analyze patient specimens (blood, urine, body fluids, swabs, etc.) following standard operating procedures
• Conduct quality control procedures, participate in internal and external quality assurance programs, and maintain accurate records of QC results
• Prepare, interpret, and validate test results; verify abnormal findings and communicate critical results promptly to clinicians
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biohazardous materials in compliance with safety and infection control protocols
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all tests, results, and procedures in the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Participate in stock management, reagent preparation, and inventory control of laboratory supplies
• Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to support diagnostic accuracy and patient management
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and all regulatory guidelines (e.g., ISO 15189 principles where applicable)

Requirements & Skills

• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in clinical laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately under pressure
