About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Medical Doctor at Westcare Specialist Hospital, located in Egbeda, Lagos. The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting medical examinations and assessments of patients
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays
• Prescribing medications and other treatments as necessary
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Providing counselling and education to patients about their health conditions and treatment options
• Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies
• Adhering to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)
• 2–5 years of experience as a Medical Officer
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records
