About the Role

St Dominic Catholic Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Doctor to join our dynamic healthcare team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and promoting health and wellness within our facility.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

• Conduct medical examinations and diagnose patients
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and therapies

Medical History and Records

• Take comprehensive medical histories
• Update and maintain accurate patient records

Diagnostic Testing

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory work, imaging studies)

Treatment and Management

• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension
• Provide preventive care including vaccinations and health screenings

Communication and Education

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Educate patients on healthy habits and disease management

Collaboration and Professional Development

• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
• Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree in Medicine
• 2–5 years of professional work experience
• Valid medical licensure
• Post NYSC experience
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Resident in Lagos or willing to relocate
