About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to serve as Medical Coordinator. This position involves overseeing the development, follow-up, and supervision of medical and health-related activities. The Medical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the quality of medical services across the mission and managing the technical aspects of activities related to Primary Health Care and Nutrition services at different operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

Program Support

• Supervise medical activities across operational sites
• Analyze reports and data collection results
• Provide technical support on health programs to Project Managers and Medical Supervisors
• Develop and distribute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and tools for medical teams in line with organizational worldwide standards and national requirements
• Participate in the development of capacity-building plans for partners and create training modules on medical topics
• Conduct monthly meetings with the implementing team for analysis and guideline review
• Coordinate meetings with the Quality Unit to ensure alignment of analysis and practices
• Develop action plans for the implementing team to be validated by the Deputy in charge of programs and monitor implementation
• Ensure integration of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Nutrition services into Primary Health Care in line with organizational approach

Strategic and Quality Assurance

• Ensure program components align with population needs and propose necessary adjustments
• Contribute to the strategic direction of mission health programs
• Contribute to the development of proposals
• Support organizational advocacy strategies in line with global positioning and national policies
• Conduct effective context analysis and provide recommendations on project and strategy adjustments
• Maintain regular collaboration with the Health Advisor at headquarters for technical support
