Mechanical Technician (Jenbacher Gas Genset) at Ascentech Services Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems, with a strong focus on gas gensets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems
• Install, assemble, and test mechanical machinery and components
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Diagnose mechanical faults, suggest solutions, and implement corrective actions
• Carry out maintenance and repair of Jenbacher Gas Gensets
• Collaborate with the engineering team to support process improvements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare service reports
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Required Qualifications

• OND/HND or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in manufacturing, production, or power generation
• Hands-on experience with Jenbacher Gas Gensets (highly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance practices
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: N170,000 – N200,000 per month (based on experience)
