Mechanical Project Engineer at Debour Nigeria Limited

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Project Engineer to utilize advanced engineering principles to improve existing systems, create new solutions, and troubleshoot issues that arise. You will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, performing simulations, analyzing technical drawings, and ensuring all products align with quality and cost requirements while adhering to company control guidelines throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications, manage project scope and changes according to the plan
• Analyze mechanical problems and formulate effective solutions
• Provide onsite leadership for the team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhere to responsibilities, and meet project milestones
• Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
• Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned with and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences including the project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders
• Ensure timely submission and approvals for procurement in line with project specifications

Qualifications & Requirements

• BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Good understanding and experience of current manufacturing methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MEP projects
• Registered member of COREN
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
