This position offers the opportunity to work with a leading organization, overseeing mechanical engineering discipline across internal teams and external contractors to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Main Functions

In this role, you will evaluate and provide commentary on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure execution in accordance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with team goals, objectives, and procedures, while assuring accurate and timely communication among teams and other company functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and issues.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
• Manage coordination and communication of various issues among company and contractor engineering teams that affect discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Evaluate and comment on work performed by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure execution in accordance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements, including review of discipline design drawings and documents
• Identify and assess deviations to contract technical specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure deviations are processed according to company procedures and maintain the Deviation Control Log
• Steward discipline engineering queries and technical information requests from contractors and sub-contractors
• Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
• Participate in discipline engineering reviews at contractor and sub-contractor locations
• Drive and promote capital efficiency in engineering design
• Support internal engineering initiatives and global practice programs as required
