## Title: Mechanical Engineer Graduate Trainee

About the Role

Well Fluid Services Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Graduate Trainee to support field operations and gain hands-on experience in well testing and fluid handling operations. This is a structured on-the-job training position working with experienced operators and supervisors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations Support

  • Assist in rig-up and rig-down of surface well test equipment (separators, choke manifolds, heaters, tanks, transfer pumps, etc.)
  • Learn to operate equipment under supervision during well flow, clean-up, and testing phases
  • Monitor well parameters including flow rate, pressure, temperature, and fluid levels
  • Support sampling of oil, gas, and water during testing operations

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all HSE policies, PPE requirements, and site-specific safety procedures
  • Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety drills
  • Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately

Equipment Handling & Maintenance

  • Assist with cleaning, pressure testing, and basic maintenance of testing equipment
  • Learn proper use of gauges, valves, hoses, and instrumentation
  • Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly and kept in good working order

Data & Documentation

  • Record operational data, pressure readings, and observations during testing
  • Support preparation of job reports and equipment checklists
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Senior Operators, Supervisors, and other service crews
  • Ask questions and apply guidance as part of structured on-the-job training

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or technical certificate in mechanical engineering, oil & gas, or related field (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in remote or harsh environments
  • Good communication skills and strong safety awareness
  • Physically fit with ability to lift equipment and work long shifts
