Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. The Mechanical Engineer provides mechanical design, analysis, maintenance support, and project execution assistance for engineering projects, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design & Analysis
- Assist in designing mechanical systems, components, piping layouts, equipment supports, and material selection
- Prepare mechanical drawings, models, and calculations using engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDMS, etc.)
- Conduct basic stress analysis, load calculations, and sizing of equipment
Project Execution & Maintenance Support
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and technical reports
- Participate in equipment inspections and condition assessments
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to ASME, API, ISO, and internal engineering standards
- Participate in QA/QC inspections of equipment and materials during fabrication and installation
- Assist senior engineers in preparing method statements and procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare drawings, reports, logs, and engineering documentation as required
- Maintain proper filing and version control of all engineering documents in line with internal documentation and audit requirements
Coordination & Collaboration
- Work with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, structural, HSE, QA/QC)
- Engage vendors and contractors during engineering and project execution
Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.Eng/B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years relevant mechanical engineering experience in oil & gas, EPC/EPCIC, or industrial facility operations
- Membership of COREN or NSE (added advantage)
