Position Overview:
  • We seek a highly motivated and seasoned candidate for the position of Managing Director for a fast growing and modern Microfinance Bank in Lagos. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong strategic insight, a proven performance record, and a solid educational background, supported by extensive business and operational experience within a leading Microfinance Bank and Commercial Bank.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic, tactical, and operational leadership to ensure sustainable profitability and measurable social impact.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction through consistent delivery of excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Offer strong leadership and guidance to the branch team. Drive customer acquisition and Deposit drive. 
  • Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive performance reports at agreed intervals.
  • Key Performance Indicators: The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Achieve the bank’s annual performance and profitability targets.
  • Foster positive customer and employee experiences.
  • Promote and uphold a strong culture of risk management and compliance.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least five years in the Banking Sector, (Microfinance / Commercial Banking) covering operations, risk, and sales.
  • HND/ BSc
  • In-depth knowledge of Banking operations, best practices, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and broader management techniques.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills. Strong people management and relationship-building skills.
  • Good knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • High level of commercial awareness and business acumen.
