Maintenance Technician at Valency Agro Nigeria Limited

About the Role

Valency Agro Nigeria Limited is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lagos. This position is responsible for executing both planned and reactive maintenance services to ensure the continuous operation and integrity of workshop machines and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute planned and reactive maintenance and repair services for workshop machines and production equipment
• Conduct periodic inspection services for all workshop machines and production equipment
• Perform major overhaul and maintenance of equipment to ensure continuous operational integrity
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in workshop machines (electrical and mechanical)
• Execute reactive maintenance and repair work for workshop machines and test units
• Recommend appropriate spare parts for equipment repairs
• Provide support to maintenance technicians during investigations, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis
• Conduct fault diagnosis and make recommendations for required spare parts
• Perform physical inspections of spare parts upon supply and prior to work commencement to verify correctness and condition
• Inspect and verify tools for fitness for purpose and safety of use
• Prepare detailed inspection and repair reports including equipment condition assessment, repairs performed, materials used, re-commissioning checks, and recommendations for future maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and make decisions under pressure
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations with commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
• Report writing skills
