Maintenance Officer at Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls

About the Role

A School Maintenance Officer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a school's physical facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment. We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our expanding team at Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect school buildings and grounds regularly to identify maintenance needs
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing plumbing, and painting
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance work
• Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment and systems, such as fire alarms
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance work
• Collaborate with administrators and teachers to ensure maintenance work does not disrupt educational activities
• Organize and perform small construction improvement projects as directed (e.g., paths, basic carpentry, and concrete work)
• Assist and coordinate maintenance, both reactive and proactive, for all facilities and equipment
• Ensure appropriate registration and maintenance of all equipment and machinery
• Coordinate all scheduled compliance works (e.g., tag and test of equipment, emergency lighting)
• Assist with the running of events as required, particularly with setup and pack-down of equipment as directed by school management
• Supervise cleaners and ensure the facility is always clean
• Supervise gardeners and ensure flowers and fields are neat and properly trimmed
